Principles and Values form the character of our being. Your personal growth must be built on a firm foundation of principles and values in order for you to be the person you were meant to be.
Why are Principles and Values Important?
Principles and Values form and establish who we are as individuals. Principled individuals are endowed with such admirable qualities of integrity, honest, trustworthy, loyalty, responsibility, commitment, appreciative, thankful, compassion and reverence. Values appreciated include faith, freedom, patriotism, family, regard for others, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
The leaders we seek and who deserve to be followed possess these qualities. Such a leader is loved and admired because we know they have our best interests at heart and that they can be trusted since their words and actions are in sync. In contrast a person says one thing and does another is deemed to be a liar and mistrusted. True leadership is well grounded in sound principles and values, which is demonstrated through their lifestyle as they lead by example.
How Are Principles and Values Formed?
These principles and values are instilled in a variety of ways. They come from our grand parents, parents, family, friends, spiritual leaders, teachers, experiences and study. However, just as there are false profits, their are those who spin the truth of principles and values for their own gain We must selectively decide for ourselves the true principles and values we choose to accept to define who we are and the life we choose to live.
Our Principles and Values define who we are!
